The Old Curiosity Shop is London’s oldest store. It was built in 1567 and passed the Great Fire of 1666.

This store seems to have been the inspiration for Charles Dickens’ book of the same name.

You’d expect them to have made some kind of souvenir shop out of it now, but nothing could be further from the truth. There’s now a shoe store in there with very separate, hip shoes.

Very nice to have seen once. It’s only a little hard to find.
